This selection of works of art have all been created by Carol Cordalis. Carol is an experimental painter. She prefers to "try out new materials." She explores ideas in books and suggestions from people to try to develop interesting and exciting new techniques that work for her. In her own words: "I have developed my own techniques using different media and collage to create form and texture that suggest natural forms, and reflect the beauty of nature.
My newer works contain an increasing use of symbolism. Many paintings make use of portions of other works that re-emerge in symbolic meanings."
She has worked a decade in watermedia and now paints with more emotion and feeling, and she uses symbols to express her thoughts.
Her involvement with the Q Artists, "helps to keep me on the same path, otherwise it would be too convenient to fall back to the traditional, tried and true ways. I like to stay on the road to discovery.
